Blazers' Robinson has thumb surgery
Jul 22, 2014 - 9:33 PM Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Portland Trail Blazers forward Thomas Robinson underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.Robinson sustained the injury during a game against Atlanta in the Las Vegas Summer League on July 15. The third-year pro is expected to be able to participate in the Blazers' September training camp.
The fifth overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft, Robinson averaged 4.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 70 games with Portland last season. He was acquired by the Trail Blazers in a trade with Houston last July.
