Report: 76ers to be part of Love-Wiggins deal

Aug 8, 2014 - 6:42 PM Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly involved in the trade that is expected to send Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It was reported on Thursday by Yahoo Sports that the Cavaliers will send 2014 overall top draft pick Andrew Wiggins, last year's No. 1 selection, Anthony Bennett, and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Love.

On Friday, the Philadelphia Daily News reported that the Sixers are now part of the deal and will send forward Thaddeus Young to Minnesota in exchange for a package that will include Bennett.

The trade can't be finalized until Aug. 23 because of Wiggins' status. NBA rules stipulate that a draft pick cannot be dealt until 30 days after he signs his contract. Wiggins inked his deal with Cleveland on July 24.

Bennett averaged just 4.2 points and three rebounds per game in 52 contests last season.

Young averaged a career-best 17.9 points and 6.0 rebounds in 79 games last season with the Sixers. A seven-year veteran who has played his entire career in Philadelphia, Young has career averages of 13.7 points and 5.5 rebounds.
