Nuggets' Hickson gets 5 games for drugs

Sep 17, 2014 - 8:45 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Denver Nuggets forward J.J. Hickson was suspended five games without pay for violating the NBA's anti-drug program, the league announced on Wednesday.

Hickson's suspension will begin when the Nuggets open the season at home against Detroit on Oct. 29.

He averaged 11.8 points and 9.2 rebounds in 69 games for Denver last season, including 52 starts.
