Spurs' Splitter has strained calf
Sep 29, 2014 - 10:08 PM San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - San Antonio Spurs big man Tiago Splitter has a strained calf, the team said Monday.The Spurs said Splitter has a strained right soleus but gave no details on how the injury occurred. He will be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
Splitter, 29, averaged 8.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 21 1/2 minutes in 59 games for the Spurs this past season.
The 6-foot-11 Brazilian averaged 7.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 23 playoff games for the NBA champions.
