Bucks pick up options on Antetokounmpo, Henson

Oct 16, 2014 - 7:38 PM Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks announced Thursday that the team has exercised club options on the rookie contracts of forward John Henson and shooting guard Giannis Antetokounmpo for the 2015-16 season.

Henson, the 14th overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft, is coming off a solid sophomore campaign in which he finished ninth in the league in blocks per game (1.7) and 13th in field goal percentage (.538). The North Carolina product also averaged 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds over 70 games, 23 of which were starts.

The 19-year-old Antetokounmpo, a first-round selection in 2013, averaged 6.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 77 games (23 starts) as a rookie.

Milwaukee also waived a pair of players, forwards Chris Wright and Elijah Millsap.

Wright appeared in eight games with the Bucks last season, averaging 6.0 points and 2.5 rebounds.
