Thunder's Westbrook to miss at least one game
Feb 28, 2015 - 11:27 PM Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook will miss at least one game after suffering a fracture of his right cheek late in Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.Westbrook took an inadvertent knee to the face from teammate Andre Roberson in the closing seconds of Friday's loss and was clearly shaken up. He stayed in the game but was taken to a Portland hospital afterwards.
Thunder general manager Sam Presti said the injury was "a fracture to the zygomatic arch of his right cheek," and that Westbrook will be sidelined for Sunday's game against the Lakers. His status going forward from there is day- to-day.
Westbrook is in the midst of posting three consecutive triple-doubles and has upped his season averages to 26.5 points, 8.1 assists and 6.8 rebounds.
