Warriors exercise 2015-16 option on Speights
Jun 29, 2015 - 7:44 PM Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors announced Monday they have exercised their $3.8 million team option on Marreese Speights for the 2015-16 season.Speights, 27, signed with the Warriors as a free agent two years ago and has averaged 8.4 points in 155 games for them, including a career-best 10.4 points in 76 games this past season.
The 6-foot-10 big man averaged 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10 postseason games this year to help the Warriors win their first NBA title since 1975.
The seven-year veteran was drafted in the first round by Philadelphia in 2008.
