- Three major league teams can clinch division titles Tuesday night: Blue Jays (AL East); Cardinals (NL Central) and Dodgers (NL West).

- DALLAS - SMU's basketball team is banned from postseason play and coach Larry Brown is suspended for nine games this for season for NCAA violations, notably academic fraud and unethical conduct.

- MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Yogi Berra is remembered at a funeral in the New Jersey town where the beloved New York Yankee catching great and his wife raised their family. Berra died a week ago at 90.

- PITTSBURGH - Michael Vick knows he doesn't have to be the quarterback of his prime for the Steelers to win. The backup needs to be dependable, not dazzling, with Ben Roethlisberger out indefinitely.

- CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The unbeaten Panthers are expected to introduce Jared Allen at a news conference. The defensive end was acquired in a trade Monday with Chicago.

- ZURICH - Four years after stepping down in disgrace, former FIFA vice president Jack Warner is banned from soccer for life for alleged bribery tied to World Cup bidding.

- ATHENS, Ga. - No. 8 Georgia this weekend looks to finally clear its Crimson Tide hurdle and deal a huge blow to No. 13 Alabama's title hopes.

- SOUTH BEND, Ind. - No. 6 Notre Dame plays No. 12 Clemson this weekend. The Fighting Irish are 4-0, but their opponents have a combined record of 4-11. Just how good is Notre Dame?

- CHARLESTON, W.Va. - West Virginia enters the Big 12 portion of the schedule, its unbeaten start about to be put to a test. The Mountaineers (3-0) play three of their first four conference games on the road.

- NEW YORK - The Liberty and Fever meet in a decisive Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals. New York is trying to advance to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2002. Game starts 7 p.m.

- OAKLAND, Calif. - Andre Iguodala will likely go from NBA Finals MVP to bench player for the champion Golden State Warriors. And he's actually OK with that.

- ATHENS, Ga. - Thabo Sefolosha is back on the court, trying to win a starting job with the Atlanta Hawks. Still lingering over him: a disputed arrest by New York City police that he says led to a broken leg.

- MADISON, Wis. - The Milwaukee Bucks open training camp, and forward Jabari Parker is scheduled to practice for the first time since injuring his left knee in December.

- INDIANAPOLIS - A little more than a month after Justin Wilson was killed during an IndyCar race, Indianapolis Motor Speedway holds a memorial service for the driver.

- SAN FRANCISCO - A skier and jumper who regularly appeared on an MTV show about extreme sports dies after slamming into a tree during a skydiving stunt at a golf course near Lake Tahoe. Erik Roner was 39.
