Report: Magic G Nelson's contract extended

Oct 31, 2007 - 3:47 AM ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic extended guard Jameer Nelson's contract, according to a report on the Orlando Sentinel's web site on Tuesday night.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nelson is entering his fourth season and would have become a restricted free agent at the end of the season if an extension was not reached.

A former Wooden and Naismith Award winner from St. Joseph's, Nelson averaged 13.0 points and 4.3 assists in 77 games for the Magic last season.
