Hawks F Smith, G Law leave with injuries vs. Bobcats
Nov 15, 2007 - 1:51 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith and rookie point guard Acie Law IV both left Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats with injuries in the third quarter.Smith has a left quadriceps strain, pulling the muscle with 9:02 left in the third. His return to the game is questionable.
Law went out with a left ankle sprain with 6:47 left and his return is doubtful.
The 11th overall pick in June's draft, Law drove the right baseline on Bobcats guard Raymond Felton and forward Ryan Hollins, who left his feet to block the rookie guard's shot.
But Hollins went parallel in the air and landed on Law, who had fallen to the floor - causing all three players to end up in a heap on the court. Law was helped off the floor without putting pressure on his left leg.
Hollins and Felton both were shaken up but did not leave the contest.
No one has shouted yet.
