Cavaliers F James, Spurs G Parker named Players of the Week

Nov 26, 2007 - 9:38 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James and San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker were named NBA Players of the Week on Monday.

James took home the Eastern Conference honor thanks to an impressive week in which he nearly averaged a triple-double and led the Cavaliers to a 3-1 record.

The 22-year-old James, who averaged 36.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8.5 assists, recorded his second triple-double in as many days Sunday in a 111-106 win over the Indiana Pacers.

The league's leading scorer, James scored 30 points and collected 11 rebounds and 10 assists to become the first player to record back-to-back triple doubles since Bob Sura in 2004.

The multi-talented James matched his season high of 45 points in a win over Minnesota on Wednesday and scored 30-plus points in each of Cleveland's four games.

Parker led the defending champion Spurs to a 4-0 week en route to winning the Western Conference award.

The 25-year-old Parker averaged 26.5 points, 8.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds and set a season high with 31 points in a win over Minnesota on Tuesday.

He followed that up by tying his season high of nine assists in wins over Atlanta and Orlando.
