Redd out until at least Saturday

Jan 28, 2008 - 10:05 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd likely will be sidelined until at least this weekend due to a left knee strain, according to a published report Monday.

The Bucks' leading scorer injured his left knee while dunking the ball in the third quarter against the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Redd would miss road games against Philadelphia and New Jersey this week. He is hoping to return for Saturday's contest against Houston.

Redd, who was sidelined for Sunday's overtime triumph against Washington, injured the same knee on a dunk last season, causing him to miss 20 games.

"It's not severe," Redd told the newspaper. "When I got that thigh contusion (earlier this month), I lost a lot of strength in my legs. So it was vulnerable."

It's the second injury that has sidelined Redd this month. He suffered a thigh contusion that sidelined him for four games from January 4 to 9.
