Bucks SG Redd day-to-day

Mar 6, 2008 - 4:05 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Michael Redd was listed as day-to-day Thursday with a nose laceration.

Redd suffered the injury late in the third quarter of Wednesday night's 118-106 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

The 6-6 Redd was injured by SuperSonics rookie Kevin Durant, who accidentally head-butted the former All-Star while coming off a screen. Redd left the game with a nasty cut to his nose and received six stitches.

It was the latest setback in another injury-marred campaign for Redd, who has missed 10 games this season due to a strained left knee. The Columbus, Ohio native also was sidelined 29 games last season with an injury to the same knee.

An eight-year veteran, Redd is averaging 23.4 points, the eighth-best mark in the NBA.

Despite losing 18 of its last 26 contests, Milwaukee (23-38) still is contending for a playoff berth in the weak Eastern Conference. The Bucks trail the eighth-place New Jersey Nets (26-35) by just three games for the conference's final postseason spot.
