Wizards' Arenas leaves game
Apr 25, 2008 - 1:56 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas left Thursday's Game Three against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second quarter with a bone bruise in his left knee.Arenas returned to the starting lineup after coming off the bench for the first two contests of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series. He scored just two points on 1-of-2 shooting in 10 minutes Thursday.
The former All-Star guard missed 69 games this season after a second surgery on his left knee.
Arenas clearly was not 100 percent while coming off the bench at the end of the campaign and in this series. The Wizards, who consider Arenas their best scoring option, dropped the opening two contests in Cleveland while he attempted to round into shape.
No one has shouted yet.
