Arenas to have limited role

Apr 25, 2008 - 8:12 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Gilbert Arenas is expected to have a limited role Sunday when the Washington Wizards host the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Four of their Eastern Conference first-round series.

Arenas left Thursday's convincing 108-72 win in the second quarter with a bone bruise in his surgically repaired left knee. However, he did not do further damage to the knee and is expected to ready to go Sunday when the Wizards attempt to tie the series at two games apiece.

"I knew I wasn't going to play more than 10, 15 minutes," Arenas said. "While I was out there, I was just trying to energize the crowd, get everybody excited about being home and some people involved until my time was up."

Arenas, who returned to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the first two games, could have a similar role in Game Four.

"Once I got out, then it's a question if I could go back in," Arenas said.

The former All-Star guard missed 69 games during the regular season after a second surgery on his left knee.
