Nuggets F Anthony gets speeding ticket

May 7, 2008 - 5:02 PM DENVER (Ticker) -- Denver Nuggets All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony is in trouble with the law again.

Anthony received a speeding ticket this past weekend, three weeks after being arrested for driving under the influence.

According to Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson, Anthony was pulled over Saturday afternoon after being clocked driving at 60 miles per hour in a 45 mph-zone.

Anthony, 23, will not have to appear in traffic court if he pays a $130 fine, Jackson said Tuesday.

The Nuggets' second-leading scorer this past season, Anthony was arrested on a DUI charge April 14 and publicly apologized the following day. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 5.
