Hawks F Williams suspended
May 7, 2008 - 9:24 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Atlanta Hawks forward Marvin Williams was suspended for one game without pay for committing a flagrant foul, the NBA announced Wednesday.Williams, 21, was penalized for knocking Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo to the floor with 9:09 remaining in the third quarter of the Hawks' 99-65 loss in Game Seven on Sunday.
The 6-9, 230-pounder, who averaged 14.8 points and 5.7 rebounds in 80 games for the Hawks this season, will serve his suspension during Atlanta's first game of the 2008-09 campaign.
