Cavs' Wallace, Varejao questionable
May 12, 2008 - 1:54 AM CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The injury status of Cleveland Cavaliers forwards Ben Wallace and Anderson Varejao is uncertain entering Game Four of their Eastern Conference semifinals series on Monday.Wallace, who left Game Two after a dizzy spell, has been battling a viral inner-ear infection and allergies.
However, after running with teammate Damon Jones prior to Saturday's Game Three, he was able to play in the contest - a 108-84 victory for the Cavaliers. A four-time Defensive Player of the Year, Wallace collected nine points and nine rebounds.
Wallace is listed as day-to-day.
Varejao, who suffered a right knee contusion in the first half Saturday, is listed as questionable. But according to the team, he will be re-evaluated after Monday morning's shootaround.
Both players are integral defenders and rebounders for the Cavaliers, who trail the Celtics, 2-1, in the best-of-seven matchup.
