Hornets C Chandler leaves game
May 14, 2008 - 4:06 AM NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- New Orleans Hornets center Tyson Chandler left Tuesday's playoff game against the San Antonio Spurs with an apparent ankle injury.The injury occurred with just over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter of Game Five of the Western Conference semifinals.
Chandler was running back on defense as Spurs guard Manu Ginobili was streaking in for layup. Despite being well away from the play, Chandler pulled up lame after taking an awkward step.
He was in obvious pain and had to be helped to the bench by teammates.
No one has shouted yet.
