Cavs G Gibson out 1-2 weeks

May 15, 2008 - 6:27 PM CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson will miss the rest of the Eastern Conference semifinals due to a left shoulder contusion, the team announced Thursday.

Gibson is expected to be sidelined one to two weeks with the injury, which occurred early in the fourth quarter of Cleveland's 96-89 setback to the Boston Celtics in Game Five on Wednesday.

The second-year guard, who scored just two points on 1-of-4 shooting prior to his departure, was scrapping for a loose ball rebound underneath the Cavs' basket when he slammed into teammate Anderson Varejao.

Gibson is averaging 9.0 points off the bench for the Cavaliers during the postseason.
