Celtics G Allen leaves game

Jun 18, 2008 - 1:31 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen left Tuesday's Game Six of the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers with 4:20 left in the first quarter after getting hit in the face.

Allen fell to his knees after driving to the basket and scoring against Lakers forward Lamar Odom. The All-Star guard apparently was hit as he weaved through traffic to the rim.

The sharpshooter had been a game-time decision. He left the team immediately after Sunday's Game Five to be with his infant son, Walker, who was hospitalized in Los Angeles.
