Celtics G Allen returns to Game Six

Jun 18, 2008 - 2:13 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen returned to Tuesday's Game Six of the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers with 4:44 left in the second quarter.

Allen, who was poked in the left eye, fell to his knees after driving to the basket and scoring against Lakers forward Lamar Odom with 4:20 left in the first quarter. The All-Star guard was hit by Odom when he rose to finish near the rim.

He immediately returned to the locker room and had his eye flushed out numerous times before he could return to the game.

The sharpshooter had been a game-time decision. He left the team immediately after Sunday's Game Five to be with his infant son, Walker, who was hospitalized in Los Angeles.
