AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- New Detroit Pistons coach Michael Curry named his coaching staff on Monday as Darrell Walker, Pat Sullivan and Harold Ellis were hired as assistants.

Walker enters his first season as a Pistons coach after spending the past two years as an assistant with the New Orleans Hornets. He has previous head-coaching experience, posting a 30-52 record with the Toronto Raptors in 1996-97. Walker resigned as Toronto's coach on February 13, 1998.

Sullivan re-joins the Pistons after spending the last three years as an assistant for the New Jersey Nets. He was an assistant coach and video coordinator for Detroit during its 2003-04 championship season.

Ellis also will be a first-year coach for the Pistons, joining the organization after a six-year stint with the Atlanta Hawks as their minor league coordinator.
