ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic signed guard Courtney Lee, their first-round selection in last month's draft, on Thursday.
The 22nd overall pick, Lee will make $980,200 in his first season in accordance with the NBA's rookie pay scale.
The 6-5 Lee played four seasons at Western Kentucky and scored 2,238 points over his career, which tied him with Jim McDaniels for first on the school's all-time scoring list.
Lee averaged 20.4 points per contest last season and was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year. Lee also helped the Hilltoppers reach the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to UCLA.
