Celtics to keep Gs House, Allen
Jul 21, 2008 - 7:37 PM BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics have re-signed reserve guards Eddie House and Tony Allen, according to a report in the Boston Globe on Monday.Both players will receive two-year deals, although House will have a player option on his second year, according to the report.
When contacted by PA SportsTicker, the Celtics were unavailable for comment.
House averaged 7.5 points in 19.0 minutes over 78 games for the Celtics last season, his second with the team. Over eight seasons with eight different teams, House is averaging 7.5 points per game.
Allen saw action in 75 games - 11 starts - scoring 6.6 points in 18.4 minutes in his first season back since tearing his ACL during the 2006-07 campaign.
The 26-year-old Allen is averaging 7.3 points over his first four seasons in the league, all of which have come with the Celtics.
