Hawks sign G Gardner, F Hunter
Aug 12, 2008 - 1:01 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks signed free agents Thomas Gardner and Othello Hunter to contracts on Monday.Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Gardner, a 6-5 product of Missouri, averaged 5.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in four games with the Chicago Bulls last season. He averaged 19.7 points with the Tigers in 2006 and played a year with Verviers-Pepinster in Belgium in 2007 before joining the Bulls.
An undrafted rookie from Ohio State, Hunter averaged 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 76 career contests with the Buckeyes.
