Hornets C Chandler leaves game with ankle injury

Oct 5, 2008 - 11:52 PM NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- New Orleans Hornets center Tyson Chandler left Sunday's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors with an apparent ankle injury.

Chandler, who averaged 12.0 points and 12.0 rebounds last season, teamed with Chris Paul to form the dynamic duo which helped the Hornets secure the second seed in the talented Western Conference last season.

The second overall pick in the 2001 draft by the Chicago Bulls, the 6-11 Chandler has averaged 8.2 points and 9.0 rebounds in seven seasons with the Hornets and Bulls.
