PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Greg Oden had 13 points and five rebounds in his much-anticipated NBA debut Tuesday, helping the Portland Trail Blazers rout the Sacramento Kings, 110-81, in the preseason opener for both teams.
The No. 1 overall draft selection in 2007, Oden missed his entire rookie season while recovering from microfracture knee surgery.
The 20-year-old shot 5-of-8 from the field with four dunks and had two blocks in 20 minutes. The 7-footer appeared to be completely healthy after being held out of practice last Wednesday, one day after rolling his ankle in the team's training camp.
"It felt good to be out there with my teammates," Oden said. "It was fun being out there."
"The focus on him right now is conditioning," Blazers coach Nate McMillan said.
Without Oden last year, the Trail Blazers exceeded expectations, posting a 41-41 record.
Portland hosts the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday in its second preseason contest.
