PARIS (Ticker) -- Jamaal Magloire suffered a fracture in his left hand during the Miami Heat's 100-98 overtime preseason loss against the New Jersey Nets on Thursday.
Magloire fractured the third metacarpal in his left hand during the third quarter of Miami's second exhibition game of the season, which was played in Paris as part of the NBA Europe Live Tour.
He was taken to a local hospital for X-rays, which confirmed the injury.
The 6-11, 265-pound center will return to Miami to be reevaluated instead of joining the Heat in London for the second of two contests against the Nets.
Magloire signed with Miami as a free agent on September 2, his seventh different team during his nine-year career. The Kentucky product has career averages of 8.6 points and 7.3 rebounds.
