Nov 3, 2008 - 11:37 PM BRISTOL, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Hours after trading for Allen Iverson, the Detroit Pistons signed guard Richard Hamilton to a three-year extension Monday, according to ESPN.

The deal is reportedly worth $34 million, with the first two years guaranteed. The third year is only partially guaranteed.

Hamilton's new backcourt mate is Iverson, who was acquired from the Denver Nuggets earlier Monday for guard Chauncey Billups, forward Antonio McDyess and center Cheikh Samb.

The Pistons' leading scorer each of the last five seasons, Hamilton is averaging 19.5 points through two games this season. The seventh overall pick in 1999 by Washington, Hamilton averaged 17.3 points and 4.2 assists in 72 games last season.
