Jazz excuse C Okur for personal reasons
Nov 10, 2008 - 8:21 PM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz announced Monday that center Mehmet Okur has left the team to attend to a family matter in his native Turkey.It is uncertain when Okur will rejoin the Jazz (5-1), who currently are in the midst of a five-game road trip.
The Jazz, who opened the trek with a 107-99 loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday, visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.
In six games this season, Okur is second on the club in scoring at 15.5 points per game.
