Jazz G Williams returns vs. Sixers

Nov 12, 2008 - 7:38 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - Utah Jazz guard Deron Williams returned to the lineup for Tuesday's 93-80 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Williams, who sprained his left ankle in a preseason game on October 18, missed Utah's first six games. He struggled a bit in his return, collecting seven points on just 1-of-8 shooting with nine assists and two turnovers.

He was expected to miss at least two more weeks but gave it a go in this one nonetheless.

Without Williams, the Jazz won their first five games before a 107-99 loss at New York on Sunday. They committed a season-high 22 turnovers that led to 30 points for the Knicks.

Tuesday's game also marked the return of Kyle Korver to Philadelphia. Korver played here as a visitor for the first time in his career and scored just three points on 1-of-7 shooting, including 1-of-5 from the arc - his patented shot.

Korver spent his first four-plus seasons with the Sixers before being traded to the Jazz in December.
