Williams, Kirilenko, Okur to miss game vs. Bobcats

Nov 14, 2008 - 8:38 PM CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz will be without point guard Deron Williams, forward Andrei Kirilenko and center Mehmet Okur for Friday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Williams still is battling a sprained left ankle, Kirilenko has sprained right index finger and Okur remains in Turkey to be with his seriously ill father.

"I can't do anything," Williams told the Deseret News. "I can't push off of it, I can't move like I want to. So, there's no reason to play."

Williams had played the last two games after missing the start of the season.

Kirilenko, who was injured in Wednesday's loss at Washington, is averaging 14.0 points to rank third on the team.

Okur, missing his third straight game, is second on the team in scoring at 15.5 points per contest.

Utah (6-2) is 1-2 on its five-game road trip, which concludes Saturday against Cleveland.
