Hawks F Horford to miss game against Wizards
Nov 19, 2008 - 11:48 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford will miss Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards after spraining his right ankle in Tuesday's contest at Indiana.Horford did not return Tuesday after suffering the injury with 4:45 remaining in the first quarter and is listed as day-to-day.
The second-year player is averaging 9.6 points and 8.1 rebounds this season.
The Hawks also placed guard Speedy Claxton and starting forward Josh Smith on the inactive list.
Claxton missed all of last season with a knee injury and also has not played this season after suffering a hamstring injury during training camp.
Smith has missed the last seven games with a sprained left ankle.
