Jazz F Boozer out Friday with strained quad
Nov 22, 2008 - 1:03 AM SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer will miss Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs with a strained left quadriceps tendon. The two-time All-Star suffered the injury while going for a loose ball late in Wednesday's 105-94 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. According to multiple published reports, he underwent an MRI on Thursday that confirmed the strain and that the injury was not more serious.
Boozer leads the Jazz (8-4) with averages of 20.5 points and 11.7 rebounds.
Utah also will be without backup shooting guard Kyle Korver - who is out with a sprained right wrist - and center Jarron Collins, who has been hampered by a bruised right elbow.
Star point guard Deron Williams, who has missed 10 of 12 games this season with a sprained left ankle, is doubtful as the Jazz try to win in San Antonio for the first time in nearly 10 years.
