Bulls G Rose plans to play Sunday

Nov 22, 2008 - 5:49 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is not expected to miss any time after suffering a hip bruise in Friday's victory over Golden State.

Rose fell to the floor in pain late in the fourth quarter of the 115-110 win, after taking a knee to the right hip from Corey Maggette.

The top overall selection in the June draft, Rose exited the game and did not return, but left little doubt as to his status for Sunday's contest at Denver.

"I'm all right now," Rose said. "I just have to ice it and get a massage (Saturday). I'm not missing that game."

Injury was about the only thing to slow down Rose on Friday as he scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half, including a pair of key jumpers down the stretch.
