Clippers F Randolph will not play vs. Hornets

Nov 25, 2008 - 12:38 AM LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Zach Randolph won't make his Los Angeles Clippers debut on Monday after all.

The team announced that neither Randolph nor guard Mardy Collins - who were acquired last week in a trade with the New York Knicks - will suit up Monday when the Clippers host the New Orleans Hornets because all results of the physicals of the four players involved in the trade are not yet known. They are ineligible to play until that time.

It remains unclear whose physical results have not been announced - or whether any players have yet to take a physical.

Friday's trade sent guard Cuttino Mobley and forward Tim Thomas to the Knicks in exchange for Randolph and Collins.

Randolph is averaging 20.5 points and 12.5 boards so far this season. The veteran forward's next chance to play his first game in a Los Angeles uniform would be Wednesday at home against the Denver Nuggets.

Collins is averaging 2.2 points and 1.1 assists per contest, while shooting just 35 percent.
