Cavaliers G Gibson out two weeks

Dec 10, 2008 - 6:19 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson is expected to miss two weeks with a sprained left big toe, the team announced Wednesday.

Gibson was seen by Dr. Jim Sferra at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health. An MRI and X-rays were negative and he will continue to be evaluated.

Gibson, 22, suffered the injury in the second quarter of Tuesday's win over Toronto. The third-year pro is averaging 9.4 points in 21 games. Gibson is struggling from 3-point range, hitting just 31 percent compared to 44 percent last season.

The Cavaliers visit the 76ers on Wednesday.
