Timberwolves G Miller makes return
Dec 13, 2008 - 4:20 AM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Mike Miller returned to the starting lineup Friday in a 98-86 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.Miller, who missed the past four games after suffering a right ankle injury during a 100-89 loss to the Orlando Magic on December 3, scored just three points on 1-of-5 shooting in nearly 33 minutes.
The Timberwolves (4-18) lost all four of the games Miller missed and are currently mired in an eight-game skid.
Acquired in an offseason trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, the 6-8 Miller entered Friday's contest averaging 11.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 17 games this season.
With Miller's return to the starting lineup, guard Rashad McCants came off the bench to score seven points after starting the past two contests.
