Bulls F Gooden out 7-10 days

Dec 21, 2008 - 6:39 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Chicago Bulls forward Drew Gooden will be out at least a week with a sprained right ankle, according to Sunday's Chicago Tribune.

The Bulls estimate their top rebounder will miss seven to 10 days with the injury, which he suffered in Friday's loss to Boston. It is the same injury that caused Gooden to miss two games earlier this season.

Gooden is averaging 12.7 points and 8.8 rebounds in 24 games.

"You never know how your ankle is going to respond, but he has swelling in there and is getting a lot of therapy," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro told the Tribune. "It's obviously a big loss for us."
