Nuggets F Anthony out with elbow injury

Dec 22, 2008 - 7:04 PM DENVER (Ticker) -- Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony will miss the next two games with a right elbow contusion, the team announced on Monday.

Anthony has been bothered by the injury for weeks, and will miss a home-and-home series against Portland.

Anthony has not missed time due to the injury, but tied his season low with 10 points on 3-of-13 shooting in a 108-101 loss to Phoenix on Saturday.

A two-time All-Star, Anthony is averaging 20.5 points and 7.4 rebounds in 25 games.
