Hawks F Willliams out with shoulder injury, will have MRI
Jan 4, 2009 - 12:53 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Atlanta Hawks starting forward Marvin Williams will miss Saturday night's game against the Houston Rockets with a shoulder injury.He will undergo an MRI on Monday.
It is unclear when he suffered the injury, but he did log 46 minutes of playing time in Friday night's overtime loss to the New Jersey Nets. The second overall pick in the 2005 draft, Williams is averaging 13.5 points and 6.2 boards for the Hawks (21-11), whose six-game winning streak was snapped on Friday.
