Warriors G Jackson injures hamstring
Jan 6, 2009 - 6:53 AM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Golden State Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson did not return to Monday's 119-114 loss to the Utah Jazz after injuring his right hamstring as time expired in the first half.Jackson's injury came at an awkward moment with 5.1 seconds left in the half as Utah's Deron Williams ran around several screens en route to a tear-drop shot in the lane with three-tenths of a second remaining.
Jackson came up limping after the play and did not return after a stellar performance in the opening two quarters. He collected 15 points, four rebounds and four assists before his departure.
The Warriors' captain has averaged 19.2 points and a team-leading 6.0 assists in 29 games this season.
