PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Portland Trail Blazers point guard Steve Blake is expected to miss two to four weeks with a separated right shoulder.
The team originally thought Blake would only miss seven to 10 days, but coach Nate McMillan announced the new timeline prior to Saturday's loss to Charlotte.
Blake, who suffered a Grade 1 separation in Wednesday's loss at Philadelphia, was examined Friday in Portland by the team's shoulder specialist, Dr. Wei.
The 28-year-old Blake is averaging 11.6 points and 4.7 assists in 38 games.
Third-year pro Sergio Rodriguez has started the last two games in place of Blake.
