Hawks F Williams out Monday
Jan 19, 2009 - 5:17 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Atlanta Hawks forward Marvin Williams will miss Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors.Williams suffered a concussion Friday against the Golden State Warriors and was released from the hospital the following day.
Williams was injured when he grabbed the rebound off his own miss and was fouled by Warriors forward Ronny Turiaf on the follow shot. Williams fell to the floor and hit his head.
The 22-year-old former second overall pick has averaged 13.4 points and 6.1 rebounds this season. The Hawks have not issued a timetable for Williams' return.
Atlanta already is without center Al Horford, who has been sidelined by a knee injury since January 9.
