Thunder G Mason undergoes knee surgery

Jan 30, 2009 - 10:06 PM OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) - Oklahoma City Thunder guard Desmond Mason underwent right knee surgery Friday.

Mason, who will miss the remainder of the season, had an arthroscopic procedure to remove debris from the knee caused by a hyper extension.

Mason suffered the injury in the third quarter of Wednesday's 114-102 overtime victory against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In 39 games this season, Mason has averaged 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
