Rockets G McGrady sprains ankle in practice
Jan 30, 2009 - 11:24 PM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets may be missing a member of their "Big Three," yet again.Rockets guard Tracy McGrady sprained his left ankle in practice on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The injury is not considered serious. McGrady listed as "a game-time decision" to play Saturday against the Golden State Warriors.
Still, it is another unfortunate setback for the Rockets (28-19), who have played just three games with Yao Ming, Ron Artest and McGrady in the lineup this season. All three had recently returned from various injuries on Wednesday.
"Oh man, if it ain't one thing it's another," the oft-injured McGrady told the newspaper.
"Right now, it's hard to tell with these things. High ankle sprain. We'll see how I feel in the morning. What can you do? I think this isn't something that's going to keep me out of the lineup for multiple games. We'll make a decision tomorrow."
McGrady is averaging 15.8 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 31 games.
