Kobe passes 23,000-point mark
Feb 11, 2009 - 5:19 AM LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in NBA history to score 23,000 points (30 years, 171 days old) on a free throw with 5:13 left in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers' game with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.The previous fastest person to the milestone in NBA history was Wilt Chamberlain, who did it in 30 years, 176 days.
Bryant scored 28 points in the contest as it headed into the final quarter.
