Spurs G Ginobili out Tuesday

Feb 17, 2009 - 7:50 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili will miss Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks due to a sore right ankle.

The ankle, not the same one that Ginobili underwent surgery prior to the season, has been bothering him since before the All-Star break.

Ginobili is scheduled to undergo tests, which will determine if he will rejoin the team in time for Thursday's game at Detroit.

In 38 games, Ginobili is averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

San Antonio (35-16) holds a four-game lead over Houston in the Southwest Division.
