Nuggets F Anthony likely out Tuesday

Mar 2, 2009 - 10:14 PM AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony, the team's leading scorer, is not expected to play in Tuesday's game at Detroit due to a personal issue.

Following Monday's practice, the team said that Anthony might have to return to Denver. However, Rex Chapman, the Nuggets' vice president of player personnel, said that it is not a legal matter.

Anthony is averaging 21.6 points per game, but he has shot just 29 percent from the field (12-of-41) in the last two contests.
